However, Copenhagen Suborbitals is always looking for the right Danish or International intern(s) for later periods and this page gives you some guidelines about skills required for internship at CS.
Since Copenhagen Suborbitals is a non profit organization we cannot offer interns any payment or coverage of travel and housing expenses.
We are primarily looking for full time interns with hands on experience in metal craftsmanship, who are willing to help with the production and development of rockets and spacecrafts, rather than aerospace engineers and PhDs.
Need to have:
- professional experience in welding
- extensive experience in milling and similar tools
- an open mind to experimentation and new tasks daily
- capable of working independently
- Acceptance of our "less CAD-drawings - more practical work" dogma.
- English speaking if non-Danish (yes, we do speak English)
- Generally outgoing
Nice to have:
- previously experience or knowledge with spaceflight
- using 2D or 3D software
- basic experience with electronics
Copenhagen Suborbitals can offer you a very different work place to spend your internship time.
You will be joining us in the effort to conquer Sir Isaac Newton and the atmosphere and be joining the team as a full time member.
You will take part in the development processes of both rocket engines and space capsule and your time will be a mixture of producing mission related hardware as well as joining the tests of this hardware.
Since our summer period from July-Sep is launch campaign season we can only receive interns in spring or fall seasons.
If you feel you meet these requirements do not hesitate to contact us about future internships. Send us a short CV and a note about your
expectations.
